BNA Audioconference
Wednesday, November 04, 2009
11:00 AM - 12:30 PM ET
In light of the ever-increasing cost of patent litigation and the economic downturn, plaintiffs and defendants alike are increasing their demands for fee arrangement other than the traditional hourly fee charges. There is a need for creative new approaches, not just discounts on hourly rates. This seminar will concentrate on new billing arrangements that provide cost benefits for the clients, yet are profitable as long as the law firm manages its work and resources effectively. The seminar will discuss flexible fixed fee arrangements; full and partial contingencies, both for the plaintiff and the defendant; effective partnering between clients and their outside counsel; as well as the possibility of partnering with investors or other fee sharing arrangements.
