This BNA webinar will explore the business implications of health care reform for employers that currently sponsor health care plans and for entities that assist in the design and administration of those plans. The discussion will begin with an overview of the primary health policy objectives, the estimated impact of proposed changes, the current status of congressional deliberations, and the likely legislative outcomes. The presenters will identify the key components of the reform initiatives that directly impact the design and delivery of health care by employers, and will focus on key differences between the House and Senate approaches to reform. Employer positions and actions on key positions will be suggested. BNA’s panel of experts will discuss the importance, process, and politics of writing regulations for the proposed health care bill. Our panel will also suggest how employers and their advisers may participate in and influence the shape of the governing regulations.
